Different tops need different construction plans

A polo, woven button shirt, tank, and crop top cannot be treated as one generic pattern. Collar shape, placket length, armhole depth, sleeve pitch, body ease, hem treatment, and closure selection should be defined for the intended customer and use.

Material behavior also changes the build. Pique, jersey, poplin, twill, and lighter woven fabrics each need suitable seam choices, reinforcement, and finishing. KNAPMOD uses the brief and sample stage to align those technical details with the appearance the brand wants.

Branding can be subtle or prominent

Shirts and tops can carry chest embroidery, printed graphics, woven patches, contrast panels, custom buttons, labels, or carefully placed trims. The best method depends on fabric stability and the level of detail in the design.

For a collection, repeatable elements such as label placement, thread colors, button finishes, and packaging help separate brand identity from individual garment styling. Those standards can be recorded in the tech pack and approval comments.

Prepare measurements and closure details early

A complete size chart is especially important for fitted shirts, crop shapes, and products with collars or plackets. Reference samples can help communicate fit, but final measurements and tolerances should still be documented before production.

The minimum order is 50 pieces, with typical production of 14 days for that MOQ after approval and material readiness. Larger quantities and more complex assortments are scheduled individually, while shipping timing depends on country and service.

Common questions

Can one project include polos and woven shirts?

Yes, but each style needs its own measurements, fabric, construction details, and sample approval because the patterns and sewing methods differ.

Can buttons and trims be customized?

Custom trim requirements can be reviewed from the tech pack or reference. Availability, minimums, and lead time depend on the selected component.

Can KNAPMOD help when I only have reference images?

Reference images can begin the discussion. Clear measurements, materials, branding details, and quantities are still needed before production can be confirmed.
