Clothing Manufacturer for Amazon Sellers

A good garment needs a clear route into inventory.

Knapmod Mfg helps Amazon-focused clothing brands connect product development with a seller-approved packing specification. Plan the garment, size assortment, brand labels, unit packaging, barcode application, and carton records as one coordinated brief.

Manufacturing support. Seller-controlled requirements.

Your Amazon account determines the applicable listing, barcode, and preparation requirements. We are not Amazon and do not guarantee listing approval or fulfillment-center acceptance. You provide the current marketplace and product-specific instructions; we assess and quote the manufacturing and packing work required.

This approach suits private-label sellers launching a first garment and established teams managing repeat assortments. It puts the production specification and the sellable unit in the same conversation, reducing ambiguity when clothing moves from inspection to packing.

01

The garment

Define fit, fabric, construction, care labeling, decoration, and the approved sample. FBA preparation cannot compensate for an unreliable product.

02

The SKU

Map every style, color, size, and pack configuration to the correct seller-provided identifier. A multipack is not the same sellable unit as its individual garments.

03

The unit

Agree folding, protection, warning requirements, barcode placement, and the finished package dimensions. Review a fully packed sample before releasing the run.

04

The carton

Reconcile contents with the approved shipment plan, carton identifiers, weights, and dimensions. Confirm who supplies final shipment labels and authorizes dispatch.

FNSKU and label control

The correct code on the correct unit.

When an Amazon barcode is required, supply the final label file and a matching SKU schedule from your account. Do not ask a production team to infer a code from a product name. Verify the complete style-color-size combination and condition.

Review the label on the actual bag or package. Check readability, adhesion, placement, and the scan result. Keep competing product barcodes from creating confusion according to the applicable Amazon instructions, without covering legally required garment information.

Amazon barcode eligibility varies. Do not assume every brand or product can use a manufacturer barcode, or that every item universally requires an FNSKU. The account’s current requirements control the packing brief.

Packaging that fits the product

Specify the bag. Approve the packed garment.

For bagged apparel, your specification should state the material, thickness and unit of measurement, dimensions, sealing method, transparency requirements, suffocation warning, and barcode visibility. A film thickness in mil is not a thickness in millimeters.

Public summaries and archived instructions can conflict. Confirm the exact numeric thresholds and warning format in current Seller Central guidance for your marketplace before ordering packaging. We will not turn an old generic specification into a universal guarantee.

Protect the garment without forcing it into packaging that stresses the seal or damages decoration. Sets and multipacks need a clear single-unit presentation and the appropriate set identification. Test the packaging on actual production components.

The production-to-prep workflow

Approve once. Control every repeat.

Brief and feasibility.

Send garment references, quantities by variation, destination marketplace, account-specific prep instructions, and timing. Confirm whether goods go to your warehouse, a prep provider, or an agreed fulfillment destination.

Garment and packaging samples.

Review the physical garment first, then the complete packed unit. Record sample approval separately from label-file approval so artwork changes cannot silently invalidate the packing reference.

Production and inline checks.

Inspect construction and measurements against the approved reference. Segregate variations and verify the first packed units before repeating the process across the order.

Reconciliation and release.

Confirm units, barcodes, carton contents, label versions, weights, and dimensions. Retain a packing record and agree how discrepancies are handled before goods leave the production stage.

Make the commercial scope explicit.

MOQ depends on the garment and components, while packaging and label work may introduce separate setup costs. Lead times include sourcing, garment approval, packaging approval, production, and freight. Amazon receiving time is not a factory production milestone.

Choose private-label manufacturing for the branded product route and labels and packaging for presentation details.

The practical details

Your questions, answered.

No. Amazon controls its receiving and account requirements. We can assess work against your approved specification, but marketplace acceptance and listing status cannot be guaranteed.
