Knapmod Mfg supports teamwear briefs for basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, and esports, subject to the construction and production route confirmed for each project. A competition uniform, a fan merchandise jersey, and a fashion interpretation may look related but have different fit, artwork, and performance requirements. Identify the intended use before selecting the development route.

Bring your team identity, reference garments, roster quantities, and any organizer’s specifications. We help structure the brief around the actual sport and wearer. Flexibility matters when a club has mixed sizes or a brand is testing a new team-inspired range, while precision matters when every number and size must be assigned correctly.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION

Different sports. Different garment decisions.

01 / COURT & FIELD

Basketball and soccer.

Basketball jerseys need a clear neckline, armhole, body length, and volume specification, often coordinated with shorts. Soccer jerseys involve their own sleeve, collar, body, and movement requirements. For either category, define whether the product is intended for play, training, fan use, or fashion, because that purpose guides the material and fit conversation.

Provide any applicable team or competition instructions for numbering, colors, sponsor marks, and garment presentation. Those requirements should be reviewed for the actual organization rather than assumed from another sport or league. If performance characteristics are important, state them separately and agree the evidence needed to support the finished product.

02 / DIAMOND & ICE

Baseball and hockey.

A baseball brief should define the front opening, sleeve shape, lettering, and relationship between artwork and closures. If lettering crosses a button front, its layout needs to account for the construction. A hockey brief needs its own fit and layering reference, including whether the garment is intended to be worn with equipment or as a fan jersey.

Do not transfer measurements from an ordinary casual top into a specialized team uniform without review. Share the relevant reference garment and intended wearing configuration. The sample should establish the actual proportions, coverage, and decoration layout for the use you specify, rather than rely on a generic sportswear size chart.

03 / DIGITAL & CLUB IDENTITY

Esports and coordinated team presentation.

Esports jerseys often place a strong emphasis on identity, sponsor visibility, and coordinated presentation. Define the desired fit, neckline, sleeve, material feel, and artwork arrangement. Sponsor names and player handles can create a detailed graphic system, so provide clear files and an approval process for every version.

Across all sports, distinguish the shared team design from personalized content. A roster should connect each name or number to the correct garment, size, and quantity. This information is part of the production specification, not an informal spreadsheet that can change without affecting artwork preparation, quality checks, or packing.

SAMPLING WITH PURPOSE

Turn the roster into a controlled production plan.

01

Confirm the sport and use.

Identify the team, intended use, garment types, size range, and required arrival date. Supply any competition or organization specifications that apply. State whether the product is a playing uniform, training item, fan jersey, or fashion piece, so the fit and performance discussion starts from the correct assumptions.

02

Define materials and construction.

Review the proposed fabric, panel arrangement, neckline, sleeves, openings, and any matching pieces. Confirm the appropriate production and decoration route. If a sample uses a substitute material, record it clearly. An artwork approval does not settle the construction, and a fit approval does not automatically settle the final material.

03

Prepare the artwork and roster.

Provide original logo files, colors, placement references, names, numbers, and sponsor information. Use a controlled roster that links each variation to its size and quantity. Assign a reviewer for spelling and artwork accuracy. Confirm that you have permission to reproduce the submitted identity and sponsor marks.

04

Review the sample uniform.

Assess fit, movement, coverage, construction, and decoration in the intended wearing configuration. For a coordinated uniform, review the pieces together. Consolidate feedback and identify which changes apply to every unit versus a specific version. This keeps sampling efficient while protecting the details that make the team recognizable.

05

Approve and lock the order.

Confirm the final technical specification, artwork versions, roster, labels, packing, and delivery arrangement. Establish how changes will be handled after approval. A late player addition or sponsor revision may affect more than one file, so it should be reviewed openly rather than inserted into an already released production list.

06

Check assignment and dispatch.

Inspect the garments against the agreed references, then compare personalized content and sizes with the approved roster. Confirm whether packing is organized by player, team, size, or garment type. Clear identification supports easier distribution and reduces avoidable sorting work when the order reaches the buyer.

MOQ, TIMING & COST

Plan around the actual team breakdown.

Roster allocation / uniform packingApproved product or factory photography

MOQ depends on fabric, construction, decoration, and the number of product variations. Share units per garment and design, not only the total number of team members. A uniform package may include several pieces, and those quantities need to be visible. Personalized content and multiple sponsor layouts should be identified before the quotation is finalized.

Lead time includes artwork preparation, roster approval, sampling, material readiness, production, and freight. Event dates can be fixed even when design decisions are not, so start with the required arrival date and work backward through the approval milestones. An urgent enquiry should not be treated as a confirmed commitment until the specific schedule is agreed.

Cost drivers include fabric choice, panel construction, decoration method, personalization, labels, packing, and transport. If the budget needs adjustment, preserve the requirements essential to the team’s use and identity. Simplifying a nonessential graphic is a different decision from changing a fit or material requirement needed by the wearer.

THE QUALITY REFERENCE

The right uniform for the right person.

Quality control should assess measurements, construction, decoration, and the correct version of the product. Check artwork scale, placement, legibility, and color against the approved references. Where lettering interacts with seams or openings, define the expected alignment before production so the inspection has a concrete standard.

Roster checks should verify names, numbers, sizes, and quantities together. Personalization is not just a print-quality issue; it is an assignment issue. A correctly applied number on the wrong size still creates a problem for the team. Packing instructions should therefore support the way the order will be distributed.

Any requested performance assessment needs a defined method and acceptance criteria. A fabric described as athletic does not automatically demonstrate moisture management, abrasion resistance, or suitability for a particular competition. Confirm the product requirements and any organizer approvals separately from the visual team identity.

Name, number, and size verificationApproved product or factory photography

We do not assume that a uniform complies with every league or federation rule. Supply the current requirements for your organization and arrange the appropriate approval before production. Rules about logos, numbering, and equipment compatibility can be specific to the intended competition.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Before the team signs off.

Present personalization as part of the order from the start. Use a controlled roster linking each name and number to a garment, size, and quantity. Confirm who checks spelling and assignment before approval. Changes after the roster is locked need a review of the affected artwork, production work, and schedule.

LET’S MAKE IT PRECISE
