Widening a strap can close the armhole or move the neckline. Mark the inner and outer strap edges on a worn reference and show how much coverage is wanted at the side.
Decide whether the neck uses self rib or a contrast trim. Ask to see the binding under stretch so a neat flat edge does not become a tight band on the body.
Measure again after the sample has been worn and rested. Check that the neck lies flat and the lower hem does not roll up when sitting.
Compare fabric structures through stretch, stability, drape, seam behavior, garment use, and the specifications required for a reliable sample.
