Decisions for your first sample
Simplify for the knit grid
Give a small-scale version of intricate artwork. A sharp diagonal or tiny letter may become stepped in knitted yarn. Check the actual sample stretched over a calf rather than the flat design file.
Specify pairs, not pieces
A two-colour twin pack needs four socks, not two. List the number of saleable packs, pairs per pack and whether left and right artwork differs.
What to check on arrival
Put on both socks and check that logo orientation is correct on each leg. Inspect toe comfort, cuff recovery and whether the design remains readable at the largest intended calf stretch.
