A wide body with a shorter rib band blouses at the waist. A straighter band falls closer to the hip. Measure both the body just above the rib and the relaxed bottom opening on your reference sweatshirt.

Decisions for your first sample
Compare the reverse of the fabric
A brushed fleece and a loopback French terry can look similar in a front photo. Ask to feel both at the weight you want. Include a reverse-side reference if your buyer wants visible loops rather than a brushed interior.
Keep the neck shape after wear
Specify the collar width, front neck drop and how far the opening stretches to pass over the head. For a chest embroidery or large back print, approve the decoration on the chosen fabric rather than on a lighter swatch.
What to check on arrival
Pull the crewneck on without opening the neck seam, wear it over the intended base layer and check that the collar lies flat. After laundering, compare sleeve length, body width and the bottom band with the approved measurements.
