Decisions for your first sample
Separate waist from length
Pupils of the same waist size may need different inseams. Use a waist-by-length matrix or a clear hemming plan, and show where the knee should sit in each length.
Order replacement stock
Record fabric shade, pocket shape and visible trim on the approved school reference. Plan sizes for replacement orders separately from the first issue rather than assuming equal demand.
What to check on arrival
Review seated desk fit, stair movement, fastening access and hem clearance over school shoes. Put the sample through the expected laundry cycle and inspect the knee and seat afterwards.
